Since e-mail is more frequently used, I thought we needed new electronic characters to accommodate the characteristics of oral language on a real time basis. If we could only deliver such abundant expressive power (elements like intonationand time) of the oral language to the keyboard through the finger, we can imagine typing the characters as though playing a piano.  This would enable us to think of the characters that flow on the screen at intervals of time. We have discovered this possibility through extensive research on interactive typography. The new Hangul font designed by me also dilivers similar potential.   Prejudices whether to read or see characters are gradually disappearing. Even in history, there were temporary occasions where people's attitude was to understand characters only from the special aspect of readability. The advantage that the characters on the computer screen can have over printed letters are probable that the characters are updated on a real basis through networks and that movement can be shown. There is no reason why the advantages of real time
