SK 디지털 캘린더는 시계 및 달력으로서의
기능과 스크린 인터랙티브 아트가 함축된
형태의 소프트웨어 디자인 프로젝트이다. 각 달에 해당하는 12개의 쇽웨이브 무비들은
사용자의 마우스 움직임에 따라 다양한 반응을 보여준다.
SK 디지털 캘린더의 표현상의 의미는 과거, 현재, 미래가 가지는 절대적 시간과 개인이
가지는 상대적 시간에 대한 철학적 해석에 기인한다. 이러한 시간에 대한 두 가지
해석은
불교철학, 현대물리학, 심리학, 생물학에서도 공통적으로 수긍하는 바이다.
여기서 절대적 시간이란 하루 24시간, 일년 365일이라는 인위적 약속에 의한 것을
말
하며 상대적 시간이란 시간을 인식하는 주체의 상태와 마음에 따라 시간의 속도와
길이
등이 다르게 느껴지는 사적인 시간을 말한다. 즉 SK 디지털 캘린더는 실제적 캘린더와
시계의 기능을 기본으로 하는 동시에 사용자가 마우스를 움직이는 행위를 개인적인
의지의 표현으로 설정하여 이에 따라 달력이미지는 기능에서 벗어나 다양한 표현적
움직임들을 보여주게 된다.
SK 디지털 캘린더, 다운로드 버전에는 PC 사용자들이 자신의 컴퓨터에 응용 프로그램
형식으로 설치하여 기념일을 확인이나 특정일에 문자 메모를 할 수 있는 기능들도
추가되어 있다.

The SK digital calendar is the result of the software design project, functioning as a calendar and a clock. It is an artistic product of screen interactive art. Twelve shockwave movies representing the twelve months of the year show several expressions that reflect the movement of the user.
The meaning expressed on the SK digital calendar is based on the philosophical interpretation of absolute and relative time, i.e., past, present, and future. Buddhism, contemporary physical science, and biology commonly agree on both ways of interpreting time. Absolute time is what people generally accept as true, such as 24 hours in a day and 365 days in a year. On the other hand, relative time is the private time that can be perceived differently according to the conditions or minds of people who recognize time as such; thus, the speed or length of relative time can vary among people.
The SK digital calendar not only performs the basic functions
of the calendar and clock; it also exhibits various expressional movements according
to the user's movement of the mouse, which is intended as an expression of individual
will. The downloadable version of the SK digital calendar can be installed on
the user's computer, also includes the short memo function and anniversary reminder
function.
